Athletic Registration Process
Thank you for your interest in Cleveland Athletics! In order to participate in a sport, all student athletes must complete an eligibility process each season for each sport. Due to COVID-19, students currently are being asked to register on FamilyID but not pay for the season at this time. Also, the Sports Physical policy is being revised and more information will be shared when it is available.
Register Online using FamilyID
To register, please go online to FamilyID at https://www.familyid.com/cleveland-high-school/2020-fall-sports-registration-5. FamilyID captures all necessary information as well as waivers. First time users need to set up an account. Once you have an account in FamilyID, subsequent registrations are easy!
Physical Clearance - stay tuned for policy updates due to COVID-19
Sports physicals must be current for the entire season. Once a physical is on file, it is valid for 2 years from the date it is signed by the medical provider. You can p
ick up a Physical Clearance Form in the Athletic Department or download one at http://www.osaa.org/docs/forms/PhysicalExamination-English2017.pdf. Physical Forms are available in Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Russian here.
All Freshman begin with academic eligibility for the Fall Season. For Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, eligibility for sports participation is based on GPA from the previous semester. Eligibility for all grades is then based on 1st quarter grades for the Winter season and 1st semester grades for the Spring season. For more information, check www.pilathletics.com or www.osaa.org.
Required Fees - Due to COVID-19 fees should not be paid at this time. This will be updated when PPS has clear direction about Fall Sports.
Athletic fees can be paid online at www.schoolpay.com. You can also submit a payment by cash, check or card in our bookkeeper’s office. PIL sponsored sports are $205 per sport per student. For students on the Federal Free/Reduced Lunch program, the athletic fee is $35 per sport. The PIL wants all students to be able to participate in a sport if eligible. If needed, please contact the Athletic Department at Cleveland to discuss athletic fees.
The following OSAA forms can be found at here: Athletic Guide and Policies for Parents/Athletes, Physical Forms, Eligible Student Transfer Certificate, Foreign Student Eligibility Checklist and Form, Home School Eligibility Parent Checklist, School Representation Eligibility Certificate, and Student Intent to Transfer Certificate.
